13 Salesforce Integrations For Marketing and Sales Teams

Are Salesforce integrations worth the hassle? Contrary to what you might think, setting up a connection between popular tools and Salesforce is not a hard job to achieve and the benefits outweigh the perceived effort.

In this article, we’ll cover some of the most popular integrations for sales and marketing and what you can expect when you integrate them with Salesforce.

What are Salesforce integrations?

Salesforce integrations are the means of connecting Salesforce to other third-party applications, such as marketing automation tools, customer service software, or accounting programs.

This enables data to flow seamlessly between different platforms and enhances Salesforce’s overall functionality.

How many integrations does Salesforce have?

Salesforce has over 3,000 integrations available on its AppExchange marketplace alone. Apart from those, you can use:

  • low-code and no-code integrations like Coupler.io or Zapier for data automation
  • native integrations with the tools of your choice (if provided) that can be installed with one click
  • API-driven integrations like Salesforce Mulesoft Composer which require a few technical skills or help from a developer

Best Salesforce integrations for no-code data automation

Coupler.io

2 couplerio

Coupler.io is an all-in-one data analytics and automation platform that empowers organizations to get the most out of their data.

And when you’re using Salesforce, you probably have a lot of data available that you can’t properly analyze. Here’s where Coupler.io can help.

It allows you to export Salesforce (among other tools) data automatically into your preferred destination, such as Google Sheets, Excel, or BigQuery, making it easier to gather, transform and analyze your data for actionable insights.

With Coupler.io’s integration with Salesforce, you get better data management and reporting while getting passed the limited customization and reporting options available in Salesforce.

And if you need a custom integration with Salesforce or other tools, Coupler.io can handle that part too, on request. Need to go beyond automating data exports? Coupler.io doesn’t disappoint either.

You can get your data untangled and easy to understand with the help of Coupler.io’s data experts that can build customized auto-updating dashboards from your Salesforce and other tools data as a part of the data analytics consulting service.

Now, here’s why Coupler.io is a great platform to use to automate Salesforce data exporting on a schedule.

You don’t need any coding knowledge and it can be set up in three easy steps:

  • Select Salesforce as your application source.
3 source app setup
  • Set your desired destination app.
4 destination setup
  • Configure automatic data refresh on your preferred schedule to keep your data up-to-date. For example, you can refresh the data weekly, daily, hourly, or even every 15 minutes.

Coupler.io pricing starts at $49 per month (for 500 manual and automatic exports), with a free 14-day trial, no credit card is required.

Zapier

6 zapier

Zapier is a web-based service that allows users to automate tasks between other online services and applications without writing any code.

With Zapier, you can easily link Salesforce to over 2,000 other apps, like Gmail, Slack, and Trello. This lets you create “Zaps” that automatically make things happen in Salesforce when you do things in other apps. For example, you can make a Zap that creates a new lead in Salesforce when someone fills out a form in Google Forms.

If you’re looking for a way to automate data workflows between Salesforce and other apps without having to write any code, Zapier is a great tool.

Just keep in mind that Zapier doesn’t do everything and has some limits on what it can do with data syncing and customization. If you need more complex integrations, you might need to look at other options like API-led integrations or custom development.

It’s also worth mentioning that Zapier has usage-based pricing, meaning you pay per Zap (ie tasks performed). This means that it can get quite expensive, fast.

Analytics and reporting integrations with Salesforce

Google BigQuery

7 bigquery

When Salesforce and Google BigQuery are integrated, Salesforce data can be accessed and analyzed directly within Google BigQuery, a cloud-based data warehouse, without manual data extraction or coding.

It allows you to analyze Salesforce data using SQL queries at scale using BigQuery’s processing power, and view the results in tools such as Data Studio, Looker, or Tableau.

Data analysis isn’t limited to Salesforce.

Using a data warehouse allows you to combine data from different sources and get better insights. This means you are not only looking at your Salesforce data alone, you enhance it with insights from your other marketing and sales tools that you have stored in BQ.

We’ve already gone over how you can automate this integration with Coupler.io and we’d recommend that method since it’s a straightforward way to set automated data exports on a schedule.

Microsoft Power BI

8 powerbi

Power BI is a business intelligence tool that is great for visualizing business data in one place.

You’d want to integrate Power BI with Salesforce for better reporting and analytics. And there are a few ways to do this.

First, you can use the two standard connectors in Power BI meant to connect different categories of data.

Salesforce Objects connects to the standard and custom objects you have in your account while Salesforce Reports connect to the reports you’ve built in Salesforce.

The above connectors are all about moving data to Power BI. But you can also go the other way around and use the PowerBI dashboard in Salesforce app, available inside Salesforce AppExchange, to view your Power BI reports inside Salesforce.

Salesforce marketing integrations for email automation

Mailchimp

9 mailchimp

Mailchimp is an email marketing automation platform that allows you to create and manage mailing lists, newsletters, automated campaigns, and more. It also provides analytics and insights into how your emails are performing.

Mailchimp can be integrated with Salesforce to sync data between the two platforms allowing you to get a unified view of your customer data.

For example, when a lead or contact is added or updated in Salesforce, the information can be automatically synced to Mailchimp, ensuring that your mailing lists are up-to-date.

To integrate Mailchimp with Salesforce you can use third-party tools like Zapier, Mailchimp’s native integration, or the one available on Salesforce’s App Exchange.

Setting up the native integration is quite straightforward. You need to follow an installation wizard to set up leads, map fields, turn on data sync, and lead creation.

Once you have connected Salesforce to Mailchimp, you’ll be able to view campaign activity in the CRM and add subscribers to Mailchimp using the Query Builder.

Data storage integrations with Salesforce

Dropbox

10 dropbox

Dropbox is a file-hosting service for storing and sharing documents.

Integrating Salesforce with Dropbox allows direct access to Dropbox content from within Salesforce, real-time document editing, and synced document changes across all users.

This means that you’ll be able to easily manage and share documents with team members, prospects, and customers, without having to switch between platforms.

The main benefit of Dropbox and Salesforce integration is the increase in efficiency that it provides. With Dropbox’s real-time document editing and approval feature, teams can work together more efficiently, with changes made to documents immediately synced across all users.

Dropbox has its own Dropbox for Salesforce integration app available for free on the Salesforce for AppExchange.

Salesforce Integrations with communications apps

Slack

11 slack

Slack is a popular cloud-based team communication platform that allows team members to communicate in real-time or asynchronously using voice and video calls, screen sharing, and file-sharing capabilities, all of which enhance the communication experience.

Slack integrates with over 2400 apps available in their Slack App Directory, including Salesforce.

This is Slack’s native integration with Salesforce so installing it requires no coding knowledge. With Salesforce for Slack integration, you can enable notifications, approvals, and screen flow directly in Slack.

If you need more than this, say sharing messages between Salesforce Chatter and Slack or sharing account leads and opportunities, then you’ll need to set up an API integration or use tools like Zapier.

Calendly

12 calendly

The simplicity of Calendly makes it a popular call-scheduling automation platform worldwide.

When you integrate Calendly with Salesforce, you can automatically create Salesforce records when new customers book calls with your team, or create new leads if the contact that scheduled a call doesn’t exist in your Salesforce account.

You’ll also be able to track activity across Calendly and schedule calls directly from inside Salesforce.

Using Calendly and Salesforce together gives marketing and sales teams more visibility into all the calls needed to convert a lead and gives insights into which campaigns worked best.

Not to mention, integrating the two apps using Calendly’s native integrations requires no coding.

Project management tools integrations with Salesforce

Monday.com

13 monday

When you integrate Salesforce with monday.com you can give your non-sales teams visibility into how a lead progresses. The by-directional native integration requires a monday.com Enterprise plan and an Enterprise or Unlimited Salesforce plan.

Connecting the two tools is easy, you only need to add your Salesforce domain and then you can start customizing your integration recipes.

14 monday 2

Once you choose the object you’ll need to map Salesforce fields to monday.com columns and that’s how you’ll be able to visualize the data once it’s synced.

To set up the sync both ways, you’ll need to create two recipes. It’s important to note that Salesforce has a connection limit that only allows less than 90 recipes for each object type.

You can sync Standard Objects like campaign, account, case, lead, opportunity, etc instantly, but keep in mind that Custom Objects can take up to 3 minutes to sync.

Account management platforms integrations with Salesforce

DocuSign

15 docusign

DocuSign is an eSignature technology platform that enables users to sign, send, and manage documents digitally.

You can turn on the Salesforce integration with your account directly in DocuSign with its native 1-click integration.

This will enable you to prepare, sign and manage contracts within Salesforce using prebuilt templates and configurable agreements using Salesforce data (when using DocuSign Gen For Salesforce add-on).

This integration is available on DocuSign’s Enhanced Plans and prices are quoted by their sales teams based on your needs.

Salesforce Integrations with CRM tools

Hubspot Marketing Hub

16 hubspot marketing

Hubspot is a CRM software platform designed to help businesses with inbound marketing, sales, and customer service. Its Marketing Hub includes tools for email marketing, social media management, lead generation, and analytics.

When you sync Hubspot data with Salesforce you create a reliable connection between your two datasets and give your marketing and sales team access to useful insights across the entire customer journey.

Hubspot’s native integration with Salesforce gives you a bi-directional sync, meaning changes in one tool automatically reflect in the other.

You can choose which records to sync and when and send information on your leads in Hubspot into Salesforce, giving your sales team relevant information about a lead that helps them personalize the sales process and prioritize their outreach based on lead scores.

Helpdesk integrations with Salesforce

Zendesk

17 zendesk

Zendesk is a cloud-based customer service platform that allows you to manage customer interactions across various channels such as email, chat, phone, social media, and more.

It’s mostly used for customer support as it offers an easy-to-use ticketing system and an AI chatbot that can answer simple queries.

You can integrate Salesforce and Zendesk using the pre-built integration or via third-party tools.

The integration facilitates seamless communication and data visibility across your sales and support teams. This means that your sales team will have access to customer tickets directly inside Salesforce, and can view, create and update them, and your support team can personalize the customer experience by having access to customer data available in Salesforce.

Using this Salesforce and Zendesk integration you can also leverage smart automations and create workflows in Zendesk using data available in Salesforce like loyalty status, for example.

Feedback tools integrations with Salesforce

Typeform

18 typeform

Typeform is an online survey software that allows you to create and share surveys, quizzes, questionnaires, and other types of forms.

Once a lead fills in your form, adding that data manually into Salesforce can be time-consuming and prone to human error.

By integrating Typeform with Salesforce you can achieve this sync faster and with no errors.

You will need a Typeform Business account and Salesforce admin permission to use the Typeform app for Salesforce and integrate the two tools.

This will automatically sync your form answers and create leads, accounts, opportunities, contacts, or cases in Salesforce.
